KHALIL MARINE ENGINEERING WORKS
In the year 1969, KHALIL
(PRIVATE) LIMITED started its boat building division, Khalil Marine Engineering
Works (KMEW), with the re-build of one (1) Shore Defense Motor Launch, and then
production of nineteen (19) wooden Harbour Patrol Launches for the
Pakistan Navy. After that, there was no looking back. Now, over the years,
Khalil Marine Engineering Works has a proven track record of producing many
different types of high quality, sea-going vessels and crafts in three different
technologies of steel, timber and fiberglass, and has a long list of satisfied
clients.

ship REPAIRS:
We are licensed ship repairers since 1973, with
facilities for repairs to Hull and Super Structure of Steel, Fiberglass, and
Wooden Craft, including repairs to Main and Auxiliary machinery. Other works
carried out are Sand blasting/ Painting. Cleaning & preservation of fresh water
& fuel oil tanks.
LIFE SAVING APPLIANCES, (l.s.A.):
In-house capability to produce life
jackets under SOLAS specifications, to meet the demands of its various clients,
both local and foreign, under the survey and certification of the Ports and
Shipping Wing, Ministry of Communications, Government of Pakistan.

NORTHERN STAR SHIPS
TRADING L.L.C., DUBAI, UAE:
In the year 2000, the owners of the Khalil Group started a new
company in the United Arab Emirates, under the name and style of Northern Star
Ships Trading L.L.C., (NSST), operating out of Deira, Dubai.
NSST trades primarily
in all types of boats / ships / marine equipment and machinery. It is a major
source of new construction export orders for Khalil Marine Engineering Works and
acts as a marketing agent for it for the Middle East and African markets.
NSST has entered into an
agreement with local U.A.E. companies, to import various types of boats/ vessels
required by them from Pakistan. KPL has already exported five (5) vessels and
has signed a contract for 25 vessels to be supplied over the next five years.
