THE TEAM:

Mr. Tanveer Anjum, Senior Manager (Bunker & Lubricants Division) is in charge of physical operations of the Bunker & Lubricants Division. His duty is to ensure that all bunkers are delivered on time to the complete satisfaction of our customers. He coordinates between the oil refineries / OMC’s and his bunker division to ensure on-time delivery. He ensures that all required permissions are obtained from all the government authorities and that all the paper work is completed well in time, to ensure smooth bunker delivery. He is an MBA in finance, with lots of experience under his belt in the oil industry & other related fields. He has been an integral part of the Khalil Group for over fourteen years. Under him, the operations team is growing in step with the rapid growth of the bunker & lubricants department and the ever-increasing fleet of the Group.  

Mr. Abdul Rafique Khan, Senior Manager Marketing & Customer Care, has over twenty eight years commercial marketing and trading experience. He joined the Khalil Group in the year 2007, upon his return to Pakistan from Saudi Arabia, where he worked as Marketing Manager with M/s. Alhamrani-Fuchs Petroleum Saudi Arabia Limited, for over eight years. He brings with him considerable marketing expertise in the international arena and is now looking after the major international clients of the Group. Under him, the marketing department is expanding very rapidly and new personnel are being inducted into the Group to cater to the ever-growing list of satisfied Customers.  

Mr. Mohammad Ali Shah, Bunker Manager, has considerable experience and knowledge of the bunker sector in Pakistan. He hails from a business family back-ground and was running his family owned bunker business before joining the Khalil Group. He looks after the day to day bunker operations and ensures that the fleet is always maintained to the highest standards.  

THE FLEET: 

Our Bunker Fleet currently consists of four barges, TAELI-1; a Fuel Oil barge of 250 MTS, TAELI-2, a Fuel Oil barge of 350 MTS capacity and TAELI-3, a Gas Oil Barge of 80 MTS capacity and TAELI-4, a Fuel Oil barge of 200 MTS. Construction of a series of new barges, of larger fuel carrying capacities is planned to start in 2008.

ABOUT THE DIVISION:

KPL buys IFO 180 cSt (summer grade) / IFO 125 cSt (winter grade)/ MGO / MDO/ Lubricants from the Oil Refineries, Oil Marketing Companies.   

Presently KPL is marketing oil and lubricants of the following OMC’s / Oil Refineries:

·          BOSICOR PAKISTAN LIMITED (BPL)

·          NATIONAL REFINERY LIMITED (NRL)

·          PAKISTAN REFINERY LIMITED (PRL)

·          PAK-ARAB REFINERY LIMITED (PARCO)

·          PAKISTAN STATE OIL COMPANY LIMITED (PSO)

·          ADMORE GAS (PVT) LIMITED

·          CHEVRON (CALTEX OIL PAKISTAN LTD)

·          OVERSEAS OIL TRADING COMPANY (PVT) LTD

·          TOTAL PARCO PAKISTAN LTD (TPPL)

·          SHELL PAKISTAN LTD

BUNKER EXPORT SALES:

KPL exports / provides bunkers to vessels under its own shipping documents. 

LOCAL BUNKER SALES:

(Duty Paid) are also made to vessels / ships which work in Pakistani waters.

BUNKERING HISTORY:

In 1999, KPL started bunkering by providing Pakistan State Oil Company Limited its 250 DWT barge, TAELI-1, for furnace oil and becoming its exclusive cartage contractor.

On 9th October 2002, KPL received permission to import fuel Oil for Bunkering from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources, Directorate General Oil, Government of Pakistan.

On 15th October 2003, KPL received permission to buy Fuel Oil for Bunkering directly from the Oil Refineries, from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources, Directorate General Oil, Government of Pakistan.

Our Bunker & Lubricants Division works diligently, with the sole aim and purpose of being the best bunker suppliers and barge operators in Pakistan. Flexible and professional, we pride ourselves on being able to offer customers fast, efficient and reliable service, and while at the same time maintaining a strict policy on quality control. When bunkering, drip samples are taken as evidence of the quality and specifications of the product delivered. Prompt, on-time supply means the minimum of delay to our customers / vessels. We believe a strong and enduring business relationship is built on trust, confidence and good service. We offer bunker solutions.

TARGET MARKET:

The target market for bunker sales are the Local / Foreign Flag Ships and Deep-Sea Fishing Trawlers, calling at / operating in ports of Pakistan.
